Growing fond of you (慢慢喜歡你) — Karen Mok

This song is my favourite in 2018.

I’m reading a book, which accompanies many of my evenings with surprises.
That bicycle…the conversation between he and she…
The white shirt worn by the girl that the boy likes her putting on…
So many little subtle plots…romance…heartbroken…come and go…
I read and read, and couldn’t stop.

I just kissed you. You like it, don’t you?
Otherwise, why do you hold my hand so tight and don’t let me go?
You told me you want to take me to your home town…
Those red bricks covered by patches of green…Trees and lichen…
From the past to the present, they remain unchanged.
You said you love will be the same.

I slowly become fond of you.
I slowly become close to you.
I slowly tell you about me.
I slowly walk along besides you.
I slowly adjust myself to please you.
I slowly give myself to you.

I slowly become fond of you.
I slowly remember…
I have been being with you, graudally becoming old together.
The slowness between us is the reason I love you.

Order the dessert you like after dinner…
Tonight you may sleep on the other side…
I want to spend our vacation near the beach we went before…
Shoes…watch…socks…shirts are ready, all packed in the suitcase.
I, as everyday, wake up before you do, waiting you.

Love is a long and slow process.
